- Pakhangba is the supreme God of the Meitei tradition as well as Manipuri mythology that is used as a heraldic emblem in Manipur.
- In Meitei mythology and Sanamahism, the indigenous religion of Manipur, Kangla sha is a sacred guardian beast with a lion's body and a two-horned dragon's head. It serves as a royal symbol of the Meitei royalties, particularly the Ningthouja dynasty. The most notable statues of "Kangla Sha" are found within the Kangla fortress.
